  • 1 package cheese tortellini
  • 12oz frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest, grated
  • 1 tablespoons lemon juice
  • salt
  • pepper

In a large pot, throw in the tortellini and peas, simmer for 4 minutes and drain, reserving ½ cup of the pasta water. In the same pot, heat 1 tablespoon oil and add the bacon and garlic. Cook until browned. Add the pasta, the ½ cup pasta water, 1 tablespoon oil, lemon zest and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.
