  • 1 pt peaches, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. dark brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 3/4 cup of water
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 2 cups quick cooking oats
  • 4 tbsp. sour cream

In a bowl, toss the peaches and raisins with the brown sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bring out the flavor. In a saucepan bring the milk and water and salt to a boil. Add immediately the  oats and reduce the heat to medium. Stir occasionally for about 5 to 6 minutes or until thick and creamy. Pour the oatmeal into bowls. Top each bowl with 1 tbsp. of sour cream and some of the peaches. Sprinkle it with brown sugar. Serve the dish nice and warm.
