  • 6 peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 C. sugar
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 C. butter
  • 1/4 C. boiling water

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Toss peaches, lemon juice, sugar and cornstarch in an 8x8 baking dish. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. mix flour, sugar salt and powder while peaches are in oven. Add butter and boiling water. Mix well. Drop spoonfuls of dough on peaches. Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until top is golden.
