Peanut Butter No-Bake Cookies

Throw these sticky peanut buttery cookies together in minutes for an almost-instant dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1/2 C. dark Karo syrup
  • 1/2 C. peanut butter, chunky or smooth
  • 2 C. Rice Krispies

Directions

Heat sugar and syrup to boiling. Boil for 5 mins. Remove from heat, stir in peanut butter until smooth. Add the Rice Krispies and blend well. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper until set.

  • I have been making these for 35 years and LOVE them except my recipe is a little different. I use 1 cup each of the sugar,syrup and peanut butter and 5 cups of corn flakes. I bring the sugar and syrup to a boil and remove from heat, add the peanut butter, stir in the corn flakes and drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. 5 min boiling the sugar/syrup mixture is way too long.

  • This is a great recipe, however, instead of Rice Krispies, try Frosted Flakes!

  • I made these and they turned out great. I, however, only left it on the burner for about 1-2 mins until everything was hot enough to mix and melt together. My family loved them. I even added some milk chocolate baking bits to the mix when it was semi-warm so they would not melt all the way. I hope this helps with the cement problem.

  • I tried to make these and boiled the sugar & syrup for 5 mins and it ruined my pan and filled the house with smoke......what did I do wrong?

  • I would imagine you could use cocoa krispies or other flavored krispies also
