Pecan Fudge Pie
Ingredients
- 1 9" unbaked pie shell
- 1/2 C. butter
- 3 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 4 eggs
- 3 Tbs. white corn syrup
- 1 1/2 C. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 C. chopped pecans
Directions
Melt butter and chocolate in the top of a double boiler. Let cool. Beat eggs until light; beat syrup, sugar, salt and vanilla into eggs. Add the nuts and then the cooled chocolate. Mix thoroughly and pour into pie shell. Bake at 350 for 25-35 minutes, until top is crusty and filling is soft but set. Serve plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
