The dark, sweet taste of pecan pie fills these brownies with its signature taste. A very interesting way to add new flavor to your brownie mix.

Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 1/4 C. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbs. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 C. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 C. chopped pecans
  • Brownie:
  • 1 box Pillsbury Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 1/4 C. vegetable oil
  • 1 egg

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan. Melt butter in medium saucepan; stir in flour until smooth. Add brown sugar and 2 eggs; mix well. Cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract and pecans. Set aside.

In large bowl, combine all brownie ingredients; beat 50 strokes with spoon. Spread in greased pan. Spoon topping evenly over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until set. Do not over-bake. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
