Penne Pasta Casserole

- 4 C. uncooked penne pasta
- 8 oz ground beef
- 1 red onion
- 2 C. water
- 2 cans Italian tomato paste
- ⅓ C. red wine
- 3 C. shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cook the penne according to packaging directions.
Chop onion and cook in a large pan on medium high-heat. Add in ground beef and cook until beef is browned. Turn heat down to medium-low and add water, tomato paste, and wine.
Place the pasta in a 13x9-inch greased baking dish. Cover with beef sauce. Layer mozzarella over casserole and place in the oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted.
