  • 3 medium yellow bell peppers, cut into 1-inch wide wedges
  • 2 red bell peppers, cut into 1-inch wide wedges
  • 1 medium red onion, cut into 1-inch wide wedges
  • 3 tablespoons bottled hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dry red wine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 beef tenderloin steaks, about 5 ounces each
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

In a medium bowl, mix together the bell peppers, onion, hoisin sauce, wine and olive oil. Thread the veggies onto a long skewer and set aside. Trim any fat off of the steaks and sprinkle the steaks with salt and pepper, rubbing the meat to fully grasp the spices. Grill the steaks to desired doneness: 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, 12-15 minutes for medium and 16-19 minutes for medium-well. Grill the skewers for about 12 minutes or until veggies are crisp-tender. Pull veggies off of skewers and serve alongside the steak.
