Pepper Jack Cheese Meatloaf

This meatloaf has a spicy taste and it's very easy to make. My husband loved it and said it's better than just regular meatloaf. What's so good about this kind of meatloaf is it has melted cheese inside the middle.

Time needed

15 minutes preparation + 45 to 60 minutes cooking

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 1 med. green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbs. Worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 C. ketchup
  • 2 Tbs. seasoning salt
  • 1 dash salt and pepper
  • 1 C. crushed Pepper Jack flavored Cheese Nip crackers
  • 6 slices Pepper Jack cheeses
  • 1/4 C. chili sauce (for topping)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients except Pepper Jack cheese slices and chili sauce. Cut the meat mixture in half. Place the half mixture on a greased deep jelly roll pan, put 6 cheese slices on top of the half meat mixture then put the other half meat mixture on top of the cheese slices. Top with chili sauce. Bake for 45-60 minutes. The cheese slices in between the meat mixture will melt.
