  • 1 (8 lb.) cooked ham
  • 2 T. butter
  • 1 shallot, diced
  • ¼ C. brandy
  • ½ C. honey
  • ¼ C. peppercorns

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Score the ham with diagonal lines and place in a roasting pan. Add a bit of water into the pan and roast for 2 hours. In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté shallots until softened. Pour in brandy, cook until liquid reduces by half, and then add in honey and peppercorns. Cook and stir over medium heat for about 10 to 15 minutes as mixture thickens. Remove the ham and coat with glaze. Increase the temperature of your oven to 425 degrees and bake for an additional 45 minutes, basting with juices every 10 minutes.
