Pepperoni and Beef Casserole
Serving Size / Yield
- 1 lb ground round
- 1/2 lb pepperoni
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 pound shredded mozzarella
- 1/4 to 1/2 pound ricotta cheese
- 3 cups meatless spaghetti sauce, homemade or jarred
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook and stir beef and pepperoni in a large skillet. Add onion, allspice, salt, and pepper. Cook until onion is softened.
In a greased 2-1/4 quart casserole dish, layer the noodles, meat mixture, cheeses, and sauce.
Repeat layers once or twice, ending with a sprinkling of mozzarella cheese.
Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until bubbly.
Let casserole cool for about 5 minutes
