Ingredients

  • 2 C. almonds, chopped
  • 6 T. water
  • 1 C. butter
  • 1 ½ C. milk chocolate chips
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 T. corn syrup

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the chopped almonds on a baking sheet and let them bake for 15 minutes. Grease a baking pan. Transfer the toasted almonds onto the greased baking pan. In a saucepan melt the butter, sugar, corn syrup and water. Let it cook until it boils, it should take about 10 minutes. Stir constantly. It should be hard not chewy when you remove it from the heat. Pour over the toasted almonds. Let it cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. Chill until it is firm. Cut it up. Serve and enjoy.
