  • ½ C. beef broth
  • ½ C. merlot
  • 1 ½ C. heavy whipping cream
  • 1 T. thyme, chopped
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 4 T. butter
  • 16 oz. baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 filet mignon steak
  • Salt
  • Pepper

In a saucepan, heat up the butter. Sauté the sliced baby bella mushrooms, chopped onion and minced garlic cloves. Once sautéed remove from heat. Add in the remaining ingredients, except for the filet mignon and olive oil. In a separate saucepan, cook the filet mignon for 45 minutes depending on how you like your steak cooked. Stir the mixture until it simmers. Pour mixture over the steak. Serve with asparagus and potatoes. Enjoy!
