  • 1 Box of Pasta
  • 1 Pound of Italian Sausage
  • 1 Bunch of Broccoli Rabe
  • 1 Cup of Basil Leaves
  • ¼ Cup of Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Cup of Olive Oil
  • ½ Cup of Walnuts, Chopped and Roasted
  • 1 Minced Garlic Clove
  • 1 Pinch of Salt
  • 1 Pinch of Pepper

To begin, combine your basil, parmesan, olive oil, chopped walnuts, and garlic in a food processor and blend to create the pesto. Then, begin boiling water to cook your pasta in according to the package’s instructions. Heat up ¼ cup of olive oil in a skillet over a medium-high heat and begin breaking up the sausages in it.

Continually break up and mix the sausage until it’s browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle some salt and pepper over it and transfer the meat to a bowl. Next, add the remaining olive oil to the skillet and cook the broccoli rabe for 2-3 minutes over a medium-high heat.

Then, reduce the heat to medium and add a healthy dash of water to the skillet, about ¼ cup. Cover it and let it simmer for about 5 minutes before adding the sausage back to the skillet (if you want to warm it up again).
