Pierogi Casserole

Ingredients
- 15 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
- 2 C. dry curd cottage cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp. onion salt
- 1 C. shredded sharp Cheddar
- 2 C. mashed potatoes
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. onion salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 C. margarine
- 1 C. finely chopped onions
Directions
Line a 9x13 pan with one layer of noodles. Combine next 3 ingredients, spread about half over noodles. Put down another layer of noodles. Combine cheddar and next 4 ingredients and spread about half over noodles. Repeat, ending with noodles. Melt margarine in skillet, sauté onions until golden and soft. Pour onion mixture over top of casserole. Cover with foil. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees (you can uncover during last few minutes if you like your onions browned). Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve with dollops of sour cream.
