Make these healthy chips and top them with your favorite dips!

  • 1 14-oz. package pita bread
  • 1/2 C. olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh herbs (dill, rosemary, and oregano), chopped
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper, to taste
  • 1/3 C. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tsp. sesame seeds, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper.  Open each pita into a single round.  Brush each circle on both sides with oil mixture.  Cut each circle into 6 wedges.  Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt, Parmesan cheese, and sesame seeds, if desired.  Bake for 10 minutes.  Turn and bake for another 8 minutes, or until crisp and golden.  Serve warm or at room temperature with dips and spreads.
