Ingredients

  • 2 C. flour
  • 4 Tbs. sugar
  • 2 Tbs. fat (e.g. Crisco)
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 C. milk

Directions

Sift dry ingredients. Add eggs and milk gradually, and beat well. Melt Crisco (fat) and add to mixture. Grease muffin tins; fill 2/3 full with mixture. Bake 25 minutes in a 400 degree-oven.
