Poppy Seed Nut Cake

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 pt. sour cream
- 2 C. cake flour
- 1/2 C. poppy seeds
- 1 1/2 C. sifted sugar
- 4 eggs whites
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 C. finely chopped nuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter, gradually adding sugar while creaming. Add vanilla. Add egg yolks one at a time while creaming. Add baking soda to sour cream, and mix lightly. Alternate flour and sour cream, starting with flour. Add poppy seeds and nuts. Beat egg whites stiff and fold into batter. Bake in tube pan greased and dusted with flour. Bake in oven for 1 hour.
