This dish is a casserole sensation. White rice topped with a roasted garlic pork will be a great dinner.

  • 4 pork steaks
  • 1 lg. onion, chopped
  • 2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 C. water
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 1/2 C green cabbage
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • vegetable oil ( for browning)
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 C. white rice, cooked

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Heat oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Brown steaks for 5 minutes on each side. While browning, season each side with onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Arrange cabbage around inside of a 9x13-inch casserole dish, add browned steaks, and sprinkle with chopped onion. In a small bowl, combine condensed mushroom soup, water, onion soup mix and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until smooth; pour over steaks. Cover pan with aluminum foil. Bake in preheated oven for 90 minutes. Cook white rice over your stove top. Lastly, lay cooked white rice on a plate and top it off with the pork, gravy and cabbage.  Enjoy.
