  • I tried this and it is very good. The only thing I did different. I put onion powder and garlic powder in with my flour, salt and pepper.

  • The last part of my comment was eliminated. I guess we are only allowed a certain number of letters. I started to say "It would be difficult to say how many potatoes make 5 cups as potatoes come in all different sizes. I will be trying this recipe soon and will let you know how it comes out for me.

  • This recipe sounds good, but is poorly written. I do believe the pork chops placed on the bottom is correct. I think the person meant to type arrange the potatoes on top, as she has already stated to put the chops in the casserole. I would think the 16 ounce container of sour cream, divided, would be about right. Not sure though until I make it. Then common sense should figure that part out. I would definitely brown the chops if they are floured. It would be difficult to say how many potatoes

  • I make a dish that is similar to this one. I use pork steak instead of pork chops because they are more tender. Season them any way you want. Place them at the bottom of a glass casserole dish 9x13, depending on the number of pork steaks. 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, add a cup of milk so it want be as thick. 1 bag of tator tots.
Layer the glass dish with the pork steaks, tator tots and the cream of mushroom soup on top. Cover with foil and bake for about 1hour and 15 mins. Comes out ve

  • Recipe is very poorly worded in directions. I have made a similar recipe in the past and it's the potatoes that go on the bottom. A 9x13 pan would take a lot of potatoes. I would say six. Also you could probably get 8 pork chops in the pan. The remaining ingrediants are OK, but I would mix one can of water with the soup.

  • I tried this with round steak instead of pork chops, since I had the steak on hand. I did not care for it at all. Don't know if it would have been better with pork chops but probably won't try it again. Also recipe does not specify size of container of sour cream.

  • I don't understand why the pork chops are coated with flour if they are just covered with the sour cream mixture. I think it would be better to brown the chops in a skillet first and then top with the sour cream mixture. This recipe is not very clear, but it does sound good.

  • shouldn't this receipe say place "potatoes" in buttered casserole instead of pork chops?

  • Directions do not specify what to do with the potatoes
