Pork Chops and Apples
Ingredients
- 4 1/2-inch center cut pork chops
- 3 apples, cored and sliced 1/2-inch thick
- 1 1/2 Tbs. butter
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 6 Tbs. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- salt and pepper
Directions
Season pork chops with salt and pepper and then brown in a large skillet. Remove pork chops and sauté apple slices in butter until soft but still firm. Remove apples and return pork chops. Put apples on top of pork chops and cover and cook in the oven for 40-60 minutes at 300 degrees. Remove from oven and sprinkle with ginger, brown sugar and cinnamon and return to oven and cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees.
