Serving Size / Yield
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1/3 C. dry bread crumbs
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbs. water
- 6 boneless pork chops, 3/4-inch thick
- 1 1/2 C. Prego® traditional Italian sauce
- 1 C. mozzarella cheese, shredded
Crush the soup mix in the envelope with a rolling pin. Stir the soup mix, bread crumbs and black pepper on a plate.
Beat the egg and water in a shallow dish with a fork or whisk. Dip the pork in the egg mixture. Coat with the crumb mixture. Place the pork into a 2-quart shallow baking dish.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Pour the sauce over the pork. Sprinkle with the cheese.
Bake for 5 minutes or until the pork is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
