Pumpkin Pie Dessert

This original dessert uses cake mix for the crust and topping with that special pumpkin filling.

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1 yellow cake mix (save 1 C. for topping)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 C. butter
  • Filling:
  • 3 C. cooked pumpkin
  • 2 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 C. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 C. milk
  • Topping:
  • 1 C. cake mix
  • 1/4 C. white sugar
  • 1/4 C. butter
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

To make crust, mix ingredients together and press into a 9x13 greased and floured pan.

To make filling, combine all ingredients.

To make topping, combine and sprinkle over filling. Bake 45-55 minutes at 350 degrees until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
