  • 1 cod fish fillet
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp. low-fat milk
  • 1 tsp. whole wheat flour
  • 1 T. fine dry breadcrumb
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 hamburger bun
  • 1 slice American cheese
  • 1/2 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 T. tartar sauce

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F. Take out a bowl and beat together the egg white and milk until the 2 ingredients are thoroughly combined. Mix together the flour and salt inside of another bowl. Dip the fish fillet in the flour-salt mixture and then in the egg-milk mixture. Dip the fillet in the breadcrumbs and then transfer it onto a nonstick baking sheet that is sprayed with cooking spray. Bake the fish in your preheated oven for around 7 minutes. Flip the fish when finished and bake for another 7 minutes.

When the fish is baking, use a preheated skillet to toast the hamburger bun. Place the toasted bun on a plate and add the ingredients in this order: fish, cheese, lettuce and tartar sauce. Add the top bun and serve.
