Ranch Dressing

Make your own lower-fat version of ranch dressing right in your own home!

  • 1/2 C. low-fat yogurt or soy yogurt
  • 1/4 C. soy mayonnaise
  • juice of 1/2 lemon or 1 1/2 Tbs. white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt-free all-purpose seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. dried dill

Combine all ingredients in a bowl with 1/4 cup of water. Whisk together until smooth.  Transfer to a lidded bottle.  Keeps up to 1 week, refrigerated.

  • I've made my own salad dressing before. This is one I just made for a Cucumber, Tomatoes & Red Onion Salad . I made my dressing just for this type of salad. A Lemon-Lime Dressing which when prefect for this salad. One lemon, lime, a little zest from each. Oil, whatever U prefer. I used a grape oil. Sea Salt & Pepper. There's a secret ingredient, that I'm not suppose to disclose at this time. U can also use what spice that U like in this recipe. Hope U have good luck in making a good homemade dressing.

  • Sorry - this is much too tart for my taste. I used white wine vinegar, but think I'd have gotten much the same result with lemon juice. We didn't care for this one. Didn't taste like ranch dressing at all. Good try, tho!
