My grandmother said this goes with a chicken in every pot (promise during election).

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 6 Tbs. flour
  • 1/2 C. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 C. diced apples

Directions

Separate eggs, beat egg whites. Beat yolks, add sugar gradually, then all other ingredients. Finally, fold in egg whites. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
