Like a cobbler or crisp, this rhubarb dessert has the crust on top.

  • 1 1/2 C. sugar
  • 3/4 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 2 C. sliced rhubarb
  • 1.2 C. water

Directions

Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and butter as for pie crust. Place the rhubarb in a greased baking dish. Spread the flour and sugar mixture over the top. Add 1/2 C. water. Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour, covered for 40 minutes, then uncovered the remaining time.

Yield: 6 servings
