Rich and Creamy Pear Pie

Don't let pears be the ignored sibling compared to apples. They are just as delicious in dessert recipes like this one.

  • 1 9 in. unbaked pie crust
  • 1 C. sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 C. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 Tbs. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbs. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 Tbs. butter
  • 2 pears
  • 1 egg white

Preheat oven to 400 F. Brush bottom of pie crust with beaten egg white. Stir together sour cream, eggs, sugar and vanilla, set aside. Mix together brown sugar, cracker crumbs and butter, set aside. Peel and core pears, slice length ways, place into pie crust. Pour sour cream mixture over pears. Sprinkle with crumb topping. Bake at 400 for approximately 40 mins. or till top is golden brown.
