Rich Butter Cake
Ingredients
- 1 16-oz. pkg. pound cake mix
- 1/2 C. butter or margarine, melted
- 5 eggs
- 11 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 C. powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 C. chopped walnuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13x9-inch cake pan. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, butter and 3 eggs. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Spread in prepared pan. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, vanilla, powdered sugar and 2 eggs. Pour over batter. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until cake pulls away from the sides of the pan. Cool and dust with additional powdered sugar.
