  • 2 oz. bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 2 oz. white chocolate, finely chopped
  • 3/4 C. sugar
  • 1/4 C. cocoa powder
  • 1/4 C. cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 C. milk
  • 1 C. half and half
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

In a large bowl, mix bittersweet and white chocolate. Set aside. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch and salt. Gradually add add milk and half and half. Mix until smooth.

Pour the mixture in a medium-sized saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat while whisking so ingredients do not burn. Reduce the heat to simmer and cook for 2 minutes while whisking. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract. Combine mixture with chocolate until chocolate is melted. Place bowl over an ice bath. Continue to stir until mixture cools. Serve in small bowls with powdered sugar sprinkled on top.
