A little maple bacon never killed anyone. Pair it with some brussels sprouts and you have yourself a balanced side dish. Don’t let anyone else tell you different.

  • 2 lb. brussels sprouts
  • 4 strips of bacon
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. maple syrup
  • ½ tsp. sea salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper

Preheat the oven 425 degrees. Line a baking pan with aluminum foil. Set aside. Slice the brussels sprouts in half. Place them in a bowl. Add in the olive oil, sea salt and pepper. Transfer them into the prepared baking pan. Cook for 25 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare a saucepan over medium heat. Cook the bacon until crispy. Crumble it up. Add in the roasted brussels sprouts. Pour in the maple syrup. Serve and enjoy.
