Roasted Sesame Shrimp Skewers
Serving Size / Yield
- 4 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 1/2 tbsp dark sesame oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 12 large shrimp, peeled and de-veined
- Four 6-inch bamboo skewers
Toast the sesame seeds in a skillet over medium heat. Remove from heat and transfer half of the seeds to a shallow dish. Add sesame oil, vinegar and soy sauce and loosely mix with fork.
Insert 3 shrimp onto each skewer and then sit in sesame seed marinade. After 5 minutes, turn shrimp over to coat other side.
Sprinkle remaining half of sesame seeds on marinated shrimp, rotating for even coating. Place the shrimp in skillet and sear each side for 2-3 minutes over medium heat. Pour any remaining marinade over the shrimp and cook until thickens.
Best served while still warm.
