Round Steak Delight

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. round steak
  • 1/4 C. soy sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp. prepared mined garlic
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • one 15-oz. can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 green bell peppers, julienned
  • 1 tsp. beef bouillon
  • 1 Tbs. cornstarch

Directions

Slice beef in strips, and brown in skillet with about 1 tablespoon oil.  Place beef in a slow cooker when browned.  Add soy sauce, onion, garlic, sugar, and ginger. Spoon over beef.  Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours.  Add tomatoes, bell peppers, and bouillon.  Cook for 1 more hour.  Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup water. Stir into cooker.  Continue cooking until liquid thickens. Serve over rice or noodles.
