This is a great appetizer made of water chestnuts and bacon that will go with any meal! I always have family members begging me to make this for the holidays! It is simple and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 8-oz. can water chestnuts
  • 1/4 C. soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 C. brown sugar
  • 3/4 C. catsup
  • 1 Tbs. vinegar
  • 1 Tbs. sugar

Directions

Cut bacon in half and wrap each water chestnut; secure with a toothpick. Place in rows on baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

Drain grease. Refrigerate for 3+ hours or overnight. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over bacon-wrapped water chestnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for another 20 minutes. Serve warm.
