Ingredients

  • 2 C. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 C. butter
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 C. flour
  • 2 C. chopped dates
  • 2 C. beer
  • 1 C. chopped nuts
  • powdered sugar

Directions

Mix ingredients together. Pour into a 9x13-inch cake pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.  Let cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
