These Russian cookies don't have eggs! They're pretty unique and delicious!

3 hour preparation + 15 min cooking


  • 1 C. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 C. confectioners sugar
  • 2 1/4 C. flour
  • 3/4 C. chopped nuts

Cream butter. Add sugar. Mix well. Add vanilla, flour and salt. Mix well. Fold in chopped nuts. Chill dough for several hours. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Pinch small piece of dough and roll into 1-inch ball. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until set, but not brown, in oven for 10-12 minutes. While still warm, roll in powder sugar.
