Sand tarts are very big in our house around the holidays. They are very thin cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 C. butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 C. white sugar
  • 1 Tbs. water
  • 4 C. flour (sifted)

Directions

Combine all ingredients and work into dough. Roll thin and cut with cookie cutters. Brush with egg whites, sprinkle with sugar or cinnamon, or colored sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Watch closely.
