Shrimp Fajitas make for a delicious weeknight food. They're easy to make and don't sacrifice any flavor! The preparation is best served with hot flour tortillas. For serving, use the fajita mixture over the warmed tortilla and use cilantro, hot sauce, and sour cream, and lime wedges for garnish.

  • 1 lb. jumbo shrimp
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 C. sliced yellow onion
  • 2 sliced bell peppers
  • 1/4 C. olive oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Dried oregano

Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a 12" sauté pan. Cook the onions and peppers until mild brown. Remove the onions and add shrimp, seasonings, and brown for about 4 minutes. Return the onions into the pan and add seasoning. Add little water to deglaze and cook until you get a saucy coating over the shrimps. Serve with tortillas.
