Your ordinary sausage pie has a little twist! Add biscuit dough instead of pie crust for a delicious buttermilk flavor.

  • 1 (16.3-oz.) can buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 (10-oz.) pkg. frozen carrots, thawed and well drained
  • 1 lb. pork sausage, browned and drained
  • 1 1/2 C. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 5 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt

Preheat oven at 375 degrees. Place 1/2 of biscuit dough on the bottom of 9-inch round pie dish. Mix all ingredients except for 1/2 C. cheese and remaining dough. Pour over dough. Place dough on top of mix and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 60 to 75 minutes.
