Sausage and Peppers

My teenage sons love this supper.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2-2 lb. Italian style sausage (regular or turkey - hot or mild to taste)
  • 1 each yellow, green and red bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1 med. onion, sliced thinly

Directions

Cook sausage in a 350-degree oven for 35-40 minutes. 20 minutes into cooking time for sausage, sauté peppers and onion in olive oil until tender crisp. Add sausage, seasonings and combine. Stir in tomatoes until tomatoes are warmed through. Serve with pasta or on a sub roll.
