  • 3 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 active dry yeast packet
  • 1 C. warm water (approximately 110°)
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 T. vegetable oil
  • 1 C. Italian sausage
  • 2 T. butter, melted
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 jar pizza sauce, flavor and amount according to preference
  • 1 C. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 C. diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 C. chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 chopped red onion

In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Once combined, add warm water and oil; knead together and form into a ball. If dough is very dry, add more water for a better consistency. Cover bowl with a towel and set aside for 10 minutes. Once dough has risen slightly, spread out onto a pizza pan, baking stone, or even baking sheet if you want a different shape. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter and garlic. Brush butter along the crust and poke holes throughout the dough with a fork. Add sauce and toppings. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
