Sausage Apple Pie

This is a simple combination of ground sausage and apple pie filing baked in a pie, topped with Cheddar cheese. Try it and see how tasty this unusual combination is.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground pork sausage
  • 1 15 1/4 oz. can apple pie filling
  • 1 9 inch unbaked pie crust
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain and combine with apple pie filling. Transfer to pie crust and top with cheese. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until pie crust is golden brown.
