Sausage in Sauce

This beer-soaked sausage is full of sweet flavor – a great appetizer any time of the year.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. smoked sausage
  • 1 can beer
  • 1 C. catsup
  • 1 C. firmly packed brown sugar

Directions

Cook sausage in water; let come to a boil and then pour off excess fat. Cool sausage and cut into bite size pieces. Mix remaining ingredients in saucepan to make a sauce; add sausage and cook for 30 minutes or until sauce thickens. Serve warm in a chafing dish.
