  • 2 1-lb. loaves sliced white bread
  • 5 lg. onions
  • 1 celery heart
  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 1-lb. sausage roll, mild
  • 1 Tbs. poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp. sage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove crust from bread slices and reserve for other use. Dice remaining bread and set aside. Dice onions and celery. Boil in 1/2 C. water until soft. Cut bacon into 1/2-inch pieces. Break sausage roll into small pieces.

Cook bacon and sausage in large pot until browned. Add cooked onions and celery and mix well. Add poultry seasoning, sage and diced bread, and blend well. Spoon mixture into a 9x13-inch baking pan and bake in oven for 30 minutes. Serve with poultry or pork.
