  • 8oz Rotini pasta
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1lb smoked sausage
  • 4 garlic cloves, sliced
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 lbs broccoli, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tomatoes, diced

Cook the pasta according to the directions on the box. Drain and set aside. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and add the sausage, cooking it until browned. Mix in the garlic, Italian seasoning and red pepper. Cook for 1 minute more. Add the broccoli and mix well, cover and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until broccoli is tender. Stir in the broth and butter and bring it to a boil. Cook uncovered until broth reduces to half. Stir in the pasta and mix well. Remove from heat and serve.
