  • 2 large cans French-style green beans
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 C. mushrooms, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 T. flour
  • 1 C. chicken broth
  • 1 C. fried onions

Directions

Heat green beans according to packaging directions, drain, and set aside. In a large skillet, heat oil and sauté onion until translucent. Add in mushrooms and season with thyme, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle in flour and gradually pour in chicken broth. Stir and bring mixture to a boil. Add in green beans and toss to evenly coat. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with fried onions and bake for 20 minutes at 425 degrees.
