  • 1 lb. calamari, sliced
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. cayenne powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 2 cups extra virgin olive oil

Combine skim milk and lime juice in a large bowl
Add calamari to mixture and it rest for about 3 hours
Pour olive oil in a deep pan over high heat
In a separate bowl, mix flour, cayenne powder, and garlic powder.
Beat eggs in a separate bowl
Remove calamari from the bowl
Dip calamari in flour mixture and then eggs
Then begin to fry calamari for about 5 minutes each
Dry calamari in paper towels
