Savory Orzo

This rice-shaped pasta is mixed with bacon, pine nuts, and Italian seasonings.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, crumbled
  • 1 C. sliced green onion
  • 1/2 C. grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 4 C. orzo pasta, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 C. pine nuts, toasted
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 3/4 tsp. seasoned salt

Directions

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until done. Remove bacon and crumble; reserve drippings. Add green onions and sauté in bacon drippings 1 to 2 minutes or until crisp tender. Stir in bacon, 1/4 C. Parmesan and remaining ingredients. Cook 1 – 2 minutes or until heated through. Top with remaining Parmesan.
