Scrumptious Black Cherry Turnovers

- 1 can crescent roll dough
- 1 1/2 C. frozen pitted black cherries, thawed
- 1 T. vanilla extract
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 2 T. melted butter
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
On a lightly floured surface unroll crescent dough and lightly pinch perforations together. Cut sheet into 15in square, then into equal squares. Place squares onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
In a medium bowl combine wet ingredients and place a tablespoon of cherry mixture onto one side of the crescent roll dough and fold over the other side and pinch seams together. Brush tops with melted butter and place baking sheet into oven.
Let bake for 30-35 minutes or until dough it is golden brown. Let cool and serve.
