Scrumptious Cheese and Potato Bake
Serving Size / Yield
- 3 peeled potatoes.
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 stick of butter
- 1/2 C white wine
- 1 1/3 C milk
- 1 3/4 C cream
- 3 sage leaves, finely chopped
- 1 3/4 oz cheddar, grated
Heat oven to 375º.
Boil the potatoes for 3 minutes in pot, then drain, cool and slice into disks. Cook chopped onion in saucepan with butter until until tender.
Remove pan from heat and add wine, milk and cream. Place potato slices in large bowl, pour onion and cream mixture in, and add sage leaves and half of the Cheddar. Stir and mix.
Grease large baking dish with cooking spray, then pour in potato mix.
Sprinkle remaining cheese over potatoes and cover dish with foil. Cook for 30 minutes, then remove foil and cook 30 minutes more or until bake is golden brown.
Remove and serve.
